The villa is located above a cliff on a private hillock, with amazing views of the surrounding hills. Inside, the interior is mostly an open plan, with the kitchen, dining and living area sharing the space, only somewhat separated by a stair. Due to the sensitive nature of the surrounding eco-system, the home was built in a naturally occurring clearing, which meant that no mature trees were removed from the site. The home features a well-sited infinity pool that creates a sense of reflection and spatial extension, mirroring the dramatic skies. The home is characterized by seamless indoor-outdoor experiences and perfectly framed views of the dramatic natural siting. A calm and neutral palette has been used throughout the home. The dining room, situated at an elevated plane on the west east axis of the living room, also has views of dahanu valley. The exterior of the home is camouflaged with stone cladding and glass, allowing it to recede into the shadow of the forest canopy. The house is naturally ventilated, assisted by pedestrial & ceiling fans, and all appliances and fixtures are energy efficient. The main roof overhangs at an extent of 2.2 mt. . The unique roof profile comprises of three layers making it probable to overcome the forces. The structure is emphasized through the use of natural materials such as traditional shingle roof cladding & stone walls. Natural stones used for wall masonary was procured from the same site balancing the cutting filling act more reasonably.
